This type of radiotherapy uses proton beams to emit radiation. It is one of the forms of radiotherapy that allows doctors to focus the beam on cancer cells only, thus minimizing the damage done to surrounding normal cells nearby. However, proton prostrate treatment is only being offered in certain specialized screening centers and costs a bit more expensive than other forms of radiotherapy thus making it inaccessible to a lot of people.
